Am I Using Alcohol or Drugs Too Much?

The below screening is called the CAGE-AID, which helps people to determine whether they may be using alcohol or drugs to excess, and could potentially benefit from reducing or stopping their drinking or drug use.

  1. Have you ever felt you needed to Cut down on your drinking or drug use?
  2. Have people Annoyed you by criticizing your drinking or drug use?
  3. Have you ever felt bad or Guilty about your drinking or drug use?
  4. Have you ever needed a drink or used drugs first thing in the morning (Eye-opener) to steady your nerves or to get rid of a hangover?
